The assessment of the state of measurements in testing, analytical and measuring laboratories for compliance with ST RK 2.254 "Assessment of the state of measurements in testing, analytical and measuring laboratories" is carried out in order to establish whether the laboratories ensure the reliability and reproducibility of measurement results.

This standard establishes requirements for ensuring the uniformity of measurements
The main aspects that are taken into account when assessing conformity are:
Scope and general provisions
The standard applies to all laboratories performing measurements.
The requirements concern both internal quality control and participation in external assessment.
Conditions for carrying out measurements
Availability of approved methods (MVI), or current regulatory documents on testing/measurement methods.
Compliance of measurement conditions (temperature, humidity, power supply, etc.) with the requirements of the methods
Measuring instruments (MI)
The measuring instruments used must be verified, certified and meet metrological requirements. Maintaining logs of verification, calibration and maintenance.
Internal quality control
Regular monitoring of stability, reproducibility and convergence of results.
Use of control charts, statistical methods.
Quality assessment (QA)
Analysis of results, elimination of identified discrepancies.
Documentation
All processes related to ensuring the measurement status must be documented.
Availability of test protocols, logs, reports on EQA and internal control.
Conclusion on the results of the assessment
The laboratory may be recognized as:
Conforming to the requirements of ST RK 2.254.
Partially conforming – with recommendations for eliminating the comments.
Non-conforming – if there are serious violations.
